About Us
We are driven to help you enjoy your home to its fullest potential!  We can help you realize your
design tastes and style, how to make a room really work for you, and to become more organized,
and thus more productive, happy and stress-free.  We have been in business since 2004,
redesigning and organizing many homes for many clients - from whole-house redesign, to one
room or space in a home.

Our owner, Karen Kavanagh, has more than 20 years managing teams and processes in a
corporate environment, with specialized expertise in adult learning and behavior.  Sales, service
and marketing are strengths areas too, so when the opportunity to "retire" from the corporate world
emerged, it was time for the entrepreneurial spirit to kick in!  And the more creative side of Karen,
as well!

We are a member of I.R.I.S. (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists) and have completed the
Interior Redesigner training/certification process.  We are also a member of NAPO, the National
Association of Professional Organizers, and have completed numerous NAPO training courses
(and helped design a few too!!).  Karen has completed specific training as a designer for The
Closet Factory, and has the specialized expertise to provide custom storage solutions for any
space in the house - closets, the home office, pantry, garage, kids' rooms - you name it, we can
help with it!

Certifications and education notwithstanding, experience and practice are the more important
factors!

And we have that too!  2B Organized has been operating for more than four years now, in several
markets of the United States.  Primarily based in Charlotte NC initially, we have branched out into
redesign and professional organizing in Southeast Florida, Atlanta,Georgia and now Dallas,
Texas.  Wherever you live, it is important to enjoy your home space to the fullest.

Recently, Karen moved her personal home base to Dallas, Texas.  Better said, returned to Dallas!
One other stint in Dallas 6 years ago!

Karen had been a resident of Charlotte, NC for 6 years.  That may not seem like a lot of time, but
for Karen it does!  She and her family are used to moving - from Fort Lauderdale, FL to
Tallahassee, FL to Alamo, CA, to Dallas, TX and to Charlotte, and now back to Dallas - usually for
a fairly short stint in each location!  Living only 12-18 months in each new city teaches you several
things.  One, how to get settled in as quickly as possible, and two, see all the sights in your new
area before you move again!  This personal experience has really provided a the best foundation
for a redesign and organizational professional - Karen has lived the life of a mover, both for home
and office.  And it provides great context on how to best manage your stuff, furnishings, and
accessories, without having to start over and replace everything each time!

Karen was employed by Bank of America for almost 20 years, starting as a Banking Center
Manager in Tampa Bay, FL and retiring in May 2004 as a Senior Vice President.  Her last role was
as the manager of a team leading large-scale change projects for Technology & Operations, and
she reported into the Learning & Organizational Effectiveness group of Personnel.  Not only this
team, but all of the teams Karen managed since 1998 were members of "virtual teams".  This
means that the individual team members were all over the country, not housed in one location.  It
takes special communication and leadership skills to manage coast-to-coast teams.  Many of
these teams supported not only US but international business groups.  All these assignments
fueled a love of change, new contacts and embracing diversity.

Karen is a graduate of Regents College, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in General
Business.

CHARACTER AND SKILL REFERENCES

Here are quotes from a few people that Karen has worked with:

"
Through 2BORGANIZED, Karen is putting her greatest skills and talent to use for the benefit of her
clients.  In the 10 year
s I have known and worked with her, Karen's disciplined approach to time
management, prioritization and organization has never wavered.  Karen has an innate ability to
ask the right questions and listen effectively, in order to understand one's needs and recommend
innovative solutions."
From Cindy, Bank of America VP, Orlando, FL

"Karen is a strong proponent of maintaining work/life balance and she demonstrates this
personally with her effective organizational skills.  Karen is a problem solver.  She has a keen eye
to immediately recognize needed improvements, then rolls up her sleeves, and gets to work.
"Clutter" is not in her vocabulary.  She is a trusted resource for those of us buried in too much stuff
and seeking a more peaceful existence in this hurried world."
From Patti, PLS Associates:  Inside
Leadership, Bay Area, CA

"My experience with Karen has lead to great ideas for maximizing time, organizing self and
thoughts leading to work/life balance.  It's her non-judgemental  and non-threatening way of
offering suggestions that helps others to identify what's important to them to solve their problems.
She is exceptionally organized which ensures the "big rocks" are prioritized  and she keeps
commitments to others!"
From Wendi, Bank of  America VP, Dallas, TX

SUCCESS STORIES AND CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

From Robyn D., Comptroller for SPS, Inc.
"As a single mom with 2 college-age children, I recently downsized our living space.  I was a bit
overwhelmed with the task of arranging our belongings in an attractive and functional manner.
Karen came to our rescue!  With her expertise and fresh approach we were able to arrange our
space in a very cozy and inviting way - and it only took a few hours.  In addition, I had Karen come
and help me a second time, this time with the arduous task of cleaning out my off site storage unit.
In two hours we were able to sort and purge 7 years of stuff.  I would highly recommend Karen's
service to anyone in need of an organizational overhaul".

From M.C., student, wife, mom, and graphic artist
"I called Karen in January 2005 after....I had just made the same New Year's Resolution that I had
been making for 25 years - to sort through my "cluttered" existence and move into a more
meaningful lifestyle.  I felt overwhelmed by unfinished creative projects, a desire to update my
skills so I could begin working in my profession again, and by ineffective household organization.
I have made great progress in these areas with Karen's professional coaching assistance over the
past year.  She is a very focused and caring individual to work with.  One of the most valuable tools
I have sharpened is goal setting and making a plan to meet those goals.  I am accomplishing
creative goals that were dormant for years".
